READ BEFORE TRANSFERRING OR RELINKING MATERIALS IN REVIT
-------------------------------

When working with Revit materials, you may need to transfer them between projects
or relink missing images. Follow these steps to ensure accuracy:

1. **Transferring Materials Between Projects**
   - Open both the source project (with the desired materials)
     and the target project.
   - Use the "Transfer Project Standards" tool
     (Manage > Transfer Project Standards).
   - Select "Materials" and click OK.
   - This will copy the materials into your current project.

2. **Relinking Missing Material Images**
   - If textures or images appear missing, check the
     "Material Browser" (Manage > Materials).
   - Select the material and open the "Appearance" tab.
   - Look for missing image paths (warning icons).
   - Click the image box to browse and relink to the correct
image file on your system or network.
   - To prevent future issues, make sure your image library
is stored in a consistent, shared location.

3. **Best Practices**
   - Always maintain a central, organized material image
     library with clear folder structures.
   - Use consistent naming for images so Revit can find
     and relink them more easily.
   - Avoid moving or renaming image folders once
     they’ve been linked to projects.
